Are you feeling confused about how to navigate eating with Bariatric Surgery?

Trying to lose weight and need guidance and support?

This is where I come in!

Hi there! I’m Bonnie. I have been working in bariatrics and weight management for many years supporting patients through the highs and lows of bariatric surgery and weight loss. I have extensive experience in helping people through their journey before and after bariatric surgery and on their path to better health. Unfortunately, many bariatric programs cannot provide the support that people need to be successful and truly thrive. I am here to help guide you in having the best experience possible. Whether you are working in preparation for surgery, or looking for guidance afterward, I can give you the support and expertise you need to get you on the right track!

Personalized Bariatric Nutrition Counseling Services

  • Gut Health and Functional Nutrition

Fostering a healthy and sustainable relationship with food is the cornerstone of long-term success. I respect that everyone comes from a different place in life with different past experiences that make us who we are. We will work together to decide what health means to you and how to reach your goals. My counseling is rooted in an intuitive eating style with a focus in gut health medicine. I believe that it is important to not only reach your health goals, but learn how to develop a healthy relationship with food. After all, food is something we experience every day for our entire lives. I want you to feel at peace with it instead of at war.

Nutrition complications after surgery can include:

  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Pain/discomfort
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Bloating and excess gas
  • Reactive hypoglycemia
  • Dumping syndrome
  • Fatigue
  • Weight regain
  • Malnutrition
  • Vitamin Deficiencies

If any of these symptoms sound familiar, you are not alone! The good news is that they are completely manageable with proper nutrition therapy.
